Day 276-Vacation Day 2

Bodie Island Lighthouse, under renovation

Day 1 was spent flying to Raleigh, NC and then driving to Kitty Hawk, NC. We spent our first family vacation in the Outer Banks.

These pictures are from Day 2. We went to the Aqauarium, Bodie Island Lighthouse, and the beach of course. She had her first taste of some custard from Rita's. All in all it was an ok day.

These aren't incredibly flattering. This began our almost 2 months of ear infections. First it was upper respiratory, eye and ear infection...which is why her eye looks yucky in some of these. Then she had poor balance due to the ears and fell outside and scraped her head, so thats why she looks so pitiful in these pics. :(

Random things I love: My Croc work shoes. They are very comfortable. At the end of a long day, my feet hurt because its been a long day, not because I have crappy shoes. The snack cup that Amelia can hold onto and I know she won't spill her cookies or whatever all over the place. And my lens mug. I haven't used it yet, but I like it. :)

Day 251

This thing has been one of the most useful presents I've gotten. I got this for Christmas last year and tonight it came in very handy. We got home and there was a smell in the house. I couldn't pinpoint what it was, so we were both looking around. Then I see it...Lilly had an accident in her crate. The accident actually left the crate and was on the wall by her crate!! She never has an accident in there so I know she didn't feel good. This made the house smell great and didn't just cover up the odor. Love it!

Day 250

This is Amelia's little backpack that also has a handle and wheels. Its cute and we couldn't pass it up. Hopefully she can use it when shes older.

I'm not sure what she is doing in the last picture. I caught her doing it and thought it was funny. She wasn't directing it at anything, just looking at the ground. :)
